Token disclosure via world-readable authentication configuration
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Incorrect file permissions in Seqera Nextflow allow local users to read a Seqera Platform OIDC bearer token from a configuration file. AuthCommandImpl.writeConfig creates ${NXF_HOME:-~/.nextflow}/seqera-auth.config through Java NIO without restrictive permissions, so umask 022 leaves mode 0644. Exposure requires interactive login on a multi-user POSIX host and home-directory traversal; the token permits victim impersonation only within its Seqera Platform scope.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 25.09.2-edge, < 25.10.6
- Affected versionversion=>= 25.11.0-edge, < 26.04.3
