CVE-2026-48715Hinoki check available

Code execution via oversized route-information prefix copy

Published Jun 19, 2026 · Updated Jun 19, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in radvdump before 2.21 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted IPv6 Router Advertisement. In print_ff(), the parser trusts an eight-bit Route Information length and copies up to 2,032 bytes into a 16-byte stack address buffer. Exploitation requires Layer 2 adjacency and radvdump to be running; the overwrite can corrupt control data, crash the utility, or execute code in its context.
