Memory disclosure or crash via unchecked lengths
Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds reads in FastNetMon Community Edition 1.2.9 and earlier allow remote attackers to disclose process memory or crash the service. The scope and options loops in process_netflow_v9_options_template() trust UDP-supplied length fields and dereference four-byte records without checking the flowset boundary. A single unauthenticated options-template packet can reach the NetFlow v9 listener on its default UDP port 2055.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
