Process-memory disclosure via unchecked IPv4 IHL
Published Jun 2, 2026 · Updated Jun 2, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in FastNetMon Community Edition through 1.2.9 allows remote attackers to read process memory via IPv4 packets. The parser validates only a 20-byte header before advancing its pointer by four times the untrusted IHL without checking the available buffer length. Any packet capture interface reaches the parser without authentication or user interaction, and malformed IHL values expose adjacent memory through downstream flow records.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
