Authenticated file overwrite via ISO path traversal

Path traversal in OpenStack Ironic allows remote authenticated users to overwrite files during deployment with a crafted ISO image. The ISO9660 handling code fails to validate paths embedded in configdrive, virtual-media, and anaconda deployment images before writing extracted content to the conductor or target disk. Access to deploy nodes through one of those interfaces is required, and the overwrite can compromise files on the conductor or deployed system.
