Authenticated service interruption via unchecked GroupName copy
Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026
Buffer overflow in UTT HiPER 1250GW 3.2.7-210907-180535 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to interrupt router service. The DNS-filter handler copies an attacker-controlled GroupName into the object at offset 168 with strcpy and no length check. Low privileges and network access to the management endpoint are required; the disclosure does not identify whether interruption is a hang, crash, or reboot.
