CVE-2026-48563Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Code execution via client use-after-free

Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026

Use-after-free in Microsoft Remote Desktop Client on affected Windows builds allows remote attackers to execute code through a malicious RDP server. The client accesses memory after its backing object has been freed while processing network data; Microsoft has not disclosed the responsible function or object lifetime error. Exploitation requires user interaction and a high-complexity condition, after which code runs in the client's security context.
