CVE-2026-48558Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated technician access via unsigned OIDC tokens

Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026

Authentication bypass in SimpleHelp 5.5.15 and earlier and 6.0 pre-release versions allows remote attackers to obtain technician access. The OIDC login flow accepts identity tokens without verifying their cryptographic signatures, so forged claims register and authenticate a new technician. Exploitation requires OIDC, a linked TechnicianGroup, and group-authenticated logins; the resulting session can reach managed endpoints, run scripts, and enroll an attacker-controlled MFA method.
