Stored XSS via unencoded retention policy names
Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026
Stored XSS in GFI Archiver before 15.13 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through a retention policy name. RetentionPolicyWizard.SaveAllConfigSettings() stores the policy name from /Archiver/RetentionPolicyWizard.aspx without output encoding. The payload runs when another user opens the Retention and Spam Policies page, enabling actions and data access within that user's browser session.
