Stored script execution via whitespace-sensitive sanitization
Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026
Stored XSS in HAXTheWeb HAXcms NodeJS and PHP 26.0.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in page viewers. The saveNode sanitizer removes event-handler attributes only when whitespace precedes the attribute name, so node.body content such as a directly adjacent onclick attribute survives and is stored in generated page files. Page-edit permission and a victim click are required; the script runs with the viewer's browser access and can read exposed session tokens or act within the victim's permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
