Authenticated account disclosure via ungated selectlist APIs
Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Snipe-IT before 8.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to enumerate active accounts via selectlist APIs. The selectlist methods in the Users, Assets, Accessories, Consumables, and Licenses API controllers returned records without invoking the view.selectlists authorization gate. A valid web login with no elevated permissions is sufficient; disclosure covers all active accounts without FMCS and only the authenticated user's company with FMCS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
