CVE-2026-48445Hinoki check available

Application crash via overflowing manifest hash ranges

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026

Integer overflow in affected Adobe Content Credentials SDKs and C2PA Tool allows local users to crash applications with crafted manifests. In hash_stream_by_alg_with_progress, two unchecked u64 additions combine attacker-controlled HashRange start and length values from manifest CBOR, panicking when the sum exceeds u64::MAX. No valid signature or user interaction is required; the consequence is limited to terminating the application that verifies the malicious manifest.
