CVE-2026-4840Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via incomplete IpAddr filtering

Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026

OS command injection in Netcore POWER 15AX 3.0.0.6938 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through diagnostics. The setTools function in /bin/netis.cgi inserts the IpAddr form value into ping or traceroute shell strings after blocking only four metacharacters, then passes the result to system(). Low-privileged network access to the diagnostic interface is required; the published request is theoretical and its exact CGI route remains unverified on a live device.
