CVE-2026-48364

Privilege escalation via uncontrolled search path

Published Jul 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026

Uncontrolled search path handling in Adobe ColdFusion 2025.9 and 2023.20 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code. Adobe has not identified the affected component or disclosed which search-path element is trusted incorrectly when the malicious file is opened. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and a victim to open the file, after which code runs in the current user's context.
