User-assisted privilege escalation via crafted file
Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026
Improper input validation in Adobe Illustrator 29.8.7 and earlier and 30.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain elevated access. Adobe has not disclosed the affected parser or the invalid-value operation beyond identifying a crafted malicious file as the trigger. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file on Windows; successful abuse executes code in the current user's context and grants elevated control over the account or session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
