CVE-2026-48294Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cross-origin session disclosure via unchecked extension messages

Published Jun 16, 2026 · Updated Jun 16, 2026

UXSS in Adobe Acrobat PDF Extension for Chrome 26.5.2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to read rendered WhatsApp Web session data. Web-accessible extension frames parse attacker-controlled query JSON and relay it as trusted internal messages without checking the sender, enabling arbitrary storage writes and Hermes commands against another tab. A victim must have the extension and an active WhatsApp Web session and visit an attacker-controlled page; exposed data is limited to rendered DOM text such as chats, contacts, and profile details.
