Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized sid parameter
Published Mar 25, 2026 · Updated Mar 25, 2026
SQL injection in SourceCodester Sales and Inventory System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via the sid parameter. The update_stock.php endpoint passes the sid GET value into a MySQL query without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling UNION, Boolean-based, and time-based injection. A valid PHP session is required; successful exploitation exposes database contents and schema, with no demonstrated host-code execution.
