CVE-2026-4823Public exploit

Credential disclosure via unrestricted UNC backup paths

Published Mar 25, 2026 · Updated Mar 25, 2026

Improper access control in Enter Srl Iperius Backup 8.7.0 through 8.7.3 allows local users to expose stored NTLMv2 credentials. The backup job runner accepts attacker-controlled UNC source or destination paths and automatically authenticates over SMB with credentials stored in the job. A low-privileged local user must alter a job and run it as a service; capture yields NetNTLMv2 material for offline cracking or relay where SMB signing is not enforced.
