Authenticated CI disclosure via permission-check failure
Published Jun 1, 2026 · Updated Jun 1, 2026
Permission errors in OTRS 7.0.x, 8.0.x, and 2023.x through 2026.3.x allow remote authenticated users to read unauthorized CI data. The External Interface ConfigItem List module returns configuration-item query results without applying the customer-group permission boundary; OTRS has not disclosed the faulty code path. Exposure requires CMDB and CustomerGroupSupport to be enabled, valid customer credentials, and user interaction; the reported consequence is limited to CI confidentiality.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
