Published May 21, 2026 · Updated May 21, 2026
Privilege escalation in LiteSpeed User-End cPanel Plugin 2.3 through 2.4.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary scripts as root. The lsws.redisAble function invokes attacker-controlled scripts with root privileges while processing Redis enable or disable requests. A valid or compromised cPanel account can cross the user-to-root boundary, enabling full host compromise.
