Authenticated ACL bypass via unchecked SSH channel target
Published Aug 3, 2026 · Updated Aug 3, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Chisel before 1.11.5 allows remote authenticated users to tunnel to server-reachable destinations. The SSH channel handler accepts client-controlled ExtraData as a host and port and dials it without reapplying the --authfile ACL checked during setup. Exploitation requires valid Chisel credentials and an ACL-permitted handshake remote, and exposes every destination the server process can reach.
