CVE-2026-48098

Local privilege escalation via privileged shell execution

Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026

OS command injection in NexTor IP Changer before 2.0.0 allows local users to execute commands with elevated privileges through its command runner. Application logic sends privileged system commands through sudo with shell=True, handing command text to a shell at elevated privilege. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and a passwordless sudo configuration, after which commands run without an approval prompt.
