CVE-2026-48097

Local code execution via PATH interception

Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026

OS command injection in 0x5t4l1n NexTor IP Changer before 2.0.0 allows local users to execute attacker-controlled code via PATH manipulation. Subprocess calls use shell=True and resolve commands such as sudo through the caller-controlled PATH instead of absolute paths. Exploitation requires local control of the execution environment and runs the substituted executable with the privileges granted to the invoked command.
