Cross-site scripting in Litestar before 2.22.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted CSRF cookie. The csrf_input template value incorporates the cookie-derived token into a hidden form field without escaping it, while the documented safe filter suppresses template-engine autoescaping. Exploitation requires templates, CSRF protection, CSRF inputs, and a victim browser that sends an attacker-set cookie to the vulnerable application.
