Monitoring downgrade via unchecked detective-service reuse
Published Jul 24, 2026 · Updated Jul 24, 2026
Protection mechanism failure in Hulumi @hulumi/baseline before 1.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to weaken AWS monitoring. AccountFoundation imports reused GuardDuty detectors without validating their state or cadence and creates Security Hub subscriptions without retention on deletion. Reuse mode is required; affected deployments can report a false-positive baseline or disable existing CIS and NIST monitoring during stack teardown.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
