Authentication bypass via hardcoded JWT signing secret
Published Aug 3, 2026 · Updated Aug 3, 2026
Hard-coded credentials in dhax go-base before 2026-05-18 allow remote attackers to forge administrator JWTs and bypass API authentication. dev.env and the cmd/serve.go fallback supply the public string "random" to jwtauth.New as the HS256 signing key. No account or user interaction is required; a forged token grants its asserted identity and role access to protected API data and operations.
