Authenticated command execution via unsanitized directory parameter
Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026
OS command injection in Pheditor 2.0.1 through 2.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through the terminal handler. The handler checks shell metacharacters only in the command POST parameter, then concatenates the unsanitized dir parameter into a shell_exec command. Terminal permission, enabled by default, is required; injected commands run with web server privileges and can read, write, or delete accessible files.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
