Unauthenticated stored XSS via unsanitized status metadata
Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026
Stored XSS in WP Royal's Royal Addons for Elementor 1.7.1056 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through an AJAX request. The wpr_update_form_action_meta handler stores the status parameter without sufficient sanitization, and later output lacks escaping. A publicly exposed nonce makes the handler reachable without authentication; stored script runs in the site origin when an affected page is viewed.
