Code execution via use-after-free
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Use-after-free in Adobe Acrobat Reader 26.001.21651 and earlier allows attackers to execute code when a user opens a malicious file. Adobe has not disclosed the object lifetime, parser, or code path that frees an object before later reuse of its memory. A victim must open a crafted file, after which successful exploitation runs arbitrary code with the current user's privileges on Windows or macOS.
