Arbitrary file write via unvalidated replication filenames
Published Jul 3, 2026 · Updated Jul 3, 2026
Path traversal in Apache Lucene.NET Replicator before 4.8.0-beta00018 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files on clients. SessionToken(IDataInput) accepts server-supplied RevisionFile names, which reach client filesystem paths without single-component validation. Exploitation requires replication from a malicious or compromised server; traversal sequences redirect writes outside the replication directory.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
