Memory exhaustion in affected Spring Framework RSocket applications allows remote attackers to interrupt service via malformed SETUP frames. Spring identifies RSocketMessageHandler as the affected locus but has not disclosed which SETUP-frame resource remains allocated after processing. Exposure requires an application to accept RSocket connections through the handler; repeated unauthenticated frames consume memory until the process becomes unavailable.
