Remote code execution via request-derived XSLT stylesheet
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
SSRF and remote code execution in Spring Framework XsltView allow remote attackers to compromise affected Spring MVC applications. XsltViewResolver derives an XSLT stylesheet URL from the request-derived view name, and XsltView loads that unchecked URL as a transformation source. Exploitation requires an application to use XsltView with a catch-all "/**" mapping that renders a view without explicitly setting its name.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=5.2.25.RELEASE
- Affected versionversion=5.3.0 <=5.3.49
- Affected versionversion=6.0.0 <=6.0.30
- Affected versionversion=6.1.0 <=6.1.28
- Affected versionversion=6.2.0 <=6.2.19
