Uncontrolled recursion in Spring AI 2.0.0, 1.1.0 through 1.1.8, and 1.0.0 through 1.0.9 allows remote attackers to crash an ingestion thread. ParagraphPdfDocumentReader traverses an attacker-controlled PDF outline tree without bounding its depth or detecting cycles, exhausting the Java stack. The application must expose PDF ingestion to untrusted documents; the resulting StackOverflowError terminates that thread without reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
