CVE-2026-47848Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via cross-origin WebSocket redirects

Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026

Open redirect in affected Spring Reactor Netty releases allows remote attackers to obtain client credentials via cross-origin WebSocket redirects. The WebSocket client's handshake-redirect path carries credentials from the original request to a redirect target on a different origin instead of stripping them. Exposure requires an application to use 1.0.52 and earlier, 1.1.0 through 1.2.18, or 1.3.0 through 1.3.6 and explicitly enable HTTP redirects.
