Query injection in Spring AI 1.0.0 through 1.0.8 and 1.1.0 through 1.1.7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary vector-store queries. Metadata-filter handling in the Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, and GemFire store modules fails to neutralize special characters before incorporating filter input into backend query logic. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled metadata filters; resulting queries expose stored data and can modify data or interrupt service.
