CVE-2026-47834Network attack vector

Data inference via non-ASCII Sort validation bypass

Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026

SQL injection in affected Spring Data JPA releases allows remote attackers to infer data characteristics via crafted Sort parameters. The validator fails to reject non-ASCII characters that the database treats as SQL syntax, allowing a crafted expression to reach a native query's ORDER BY clause. Exposure requires unsanitized untrusted Sort or Pageable input, a sortable native-query repository method, and a database that accepts non-ASCII SQL syntax.
