Identity spoofing via untrusted forwarded headers

Header trust bypass in Spring Cloud Gateway allows remote attackers to spoof client identity through untrusted forwarded proxy headers. The WebMVC and WebFlux servers pass attacker-controlled X-Forwarded-For and Forwarded values from untrusted proxies instead of restricting them to trusted proxy input. Exploitation requires an affected proxy configuration, and downstream authorization or auditing must rely on the forwarded identity; the bounded consequence is false client attribution or policy bypass.
