Authenticated database reads via unsanitized sid parameter
Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026
SQL injection in SourceCodester Sales and Inventory System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via the sid parameter. The update_purchase.php endpoint passes the HTTP GET sid value into a MySQL query without adequate sanitization, enabling UNION, Boolean-blind, and time-based injection. A valid session is required; crafted requests can enumerate the schema and directly retrieve database contents.
