CVE-2026-47759Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unsafe data-mce attribute serialization

Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026

Stored XSS in TinyMCE allows remote authenticated users to execute script through crafted data-mce-href, data-mce-src, or data-mce-style attributes. During parsing and serialization, unsafe data-mce values can replace validated href, src, or style attributes instead of being stripped. Exploitation requires permission to store attacker-controlled editor content and a user to render it; script runs in that viewer's browser context.
