Integer overflow in libtiff on Red Hat Enterprise Linux allows attackers to execute code or crash applications via crafted TIFF files. The putcontig8bitYCbCr44tile routine in tif_getimage.c stores pointer progression in a 32-bit signed integer; extreme image width and YCbCr subsampling wrap it negative and drive an out-of-bounds heap write. Exploitation requires an application linked to libtiff to process an untrusted TIFF file and can terminate that application or run code in its security context.
