CVE-2026-47731Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated arbitrary file append via path traversal

Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026

Path traversal in AIT-Core BSC before 2.6.1 and 3.1.0 allows remote attackers to append controlled data to arbitrary files. An unauthenticated POST to //start passes attacker-controlled path fields into handler construction without confining the resolved log path to the configured root. Network access to ait-bsc, or a browser on a reachable local network loading attacker-controlled JavaScript, is sufficient; writes use the service account's permissions and can corrupt writable data or exhaust disk space.
