Administrator access via missing API ownership checks
Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026
Missing authorization in nebula-mesh before 0.3.4 allows remote authenticated users to gain administrator access through the REST API. Most /api/v1 host, network, firewall, mobile-bundle, and operator handlers trust a bearer token without checking administrator role or per-CA ownership. Any non-admin operator API key can mint an administrator key, take over another operator's hosts, or read and alter cross-tenant resources.
