CVE-2026-4769Network attack vector

Full device compromise via early-boot diagnostic access

Published Jul 13, 2026 · Updated Jul 13, 2026

Hidden functionality in WAGO I/O System Field firmware allows remote attackers to compromise devices during early startup. An internal diagnostic capability activates before the main operating environment and its security mechanisms, exposing protected system processes without authentication. Network reachability during the brief boot window is required, and successful access grants control of internal processes and the device.
