Unauthenticated code execution via script function injection
Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026
Code injection in DbGate 7.1.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through the JSON script runner. The start method passes the attacker-controlled functionName through compileShellApiFunctionName, concatenates the result into JavaScript source, and forks that generated script in Node.js. The endpoint requires a bearer token, but default anonymous authentication exposes a token to remote attackers; authenticated deployments require a valid API user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
