Cross-resource disclosure and mutation via missing authority checks
Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026
Improper authorization in Pathling Server before 2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or modify FHIR resource families. Typed CRUD, search, and batch providers enforce coarse operation authorities but omit the matching per-resource read or write check. Exploitation requires authorization to be enabled and a token carrying a coarse operation authority; successful use exposes or changes resource families outside the token's granted scope.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
