Administrator-authenticated code execution via unvalidated VAPIX parameter
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Code injection in AXIS OS 12.0.0 through 12.11.43 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a VAPIX API parameter. The parameter is accepted without proper input validation, but Axis has not disclosed its name or the faulty validation operation. An administrator-privileged service account is required; successful injection executes code and can elevate privileges on the device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
