Memory corruption via tjbench integer overflow
Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Android-ImageMagick7 before 7.1.2-11 allows local users to corrupt memory through an oversized image. In libjpeg-turbo-2.0.2/tjbench.c, decomp() multiplies signed-int pitch values before widening them for memset and row-pointer arithmetic, causing overflow above 715,827,882 pixels. Exploitation requires user interaction to process the image; the resulting write can crash the process or corrupt its data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
