Stack-data disclosure via unbounded DHCP option parsing
Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in MiracleCast before 1.0 allows remote attackers to disclose stack data via crafted DHCP packets. The cloned gDHCP dhcp_get_option function reads DHCP option lengths and data past the received packet because parsing is not bounded by the actual packet length. Reachability requires adjacent-network access to MiracleCast's DHCP service, and the bounded impact is disclosure of process stack contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
