CVE-2026-4743

Process crash via unchecked cJSON insertion pointer

Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026

NULL pointer dereference in TaurusXin ncmdump before 1.4.0 allows local users to crash the process during user-assisted processing. The cloned cJSON_InsertItemInArray function in src/utils/cJSON.cpp accesses newitem->prev without first rejecting a null newitem pointer. Exploitation requires active user interaction and affects availability only; the crash does not expose or alter data.
