CVE-2026-47425Network attack vector

Arbitrary file write via unchecked entry-point path

Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026

Path traversal in noarch:python entry-point linking in Conda Rattler before 0.43.2 allows attackers to write files outside the prefix. EntryPoint::FromStr trims but does not validate the command name before the linker joins it to the install prefix and creates a script or Windows launcher. The default path is reachable through Pixi before 0.69.0 and py-rattler before 0.24.0 when a user installs an attacker-controlled package, enabling file creation or clobbering with installer privileges.
